Naomi Wolf Slams 'Fake' Activism
Naomi Wolf, author of "The End of America", argues that bureaucracy has killed
effective protesting because mass social protests in the U.S. now have a feeling of "Disneyland activism."
"It feels fake, because it is fake," she says.

I know some people who don't want to get active at all, because they swear with their lives that the "best" way to end the war in Gaza is by promoting the academic boycott of israel, which I think is very lazy. I also know a lot of people who go to protests and only get involved in the cause because they can use that cause as a platform for another agenda (for a personal example, I know people who go to Palestine rallies who are only there because they're against "identity politics" and view Israel's existence as a part of that, or they're hellbent on "exposing the USS Liberty cover-up"). I have to ask, is that honesty? No. They're just pretending to believe in something when in reality their main goals are somewhere else.
